City of Hamilton seeking public input in development of Parkside Hills Park

Parkside Hills is a proposed park located at 110 Nisbet Boulevard in Waterdown. It is bordered by Cole Street to the east, Nisbet Boulevard to the south, White Gates Drive to the west, and future housing to the north. The site is approximately 1.97 hectares. A large feature of the property is the Waterdown water tower that is located at the park’s south-east corner.

A new neighbourhood park is proposed to be developed at this site. As part of the planning process, the City will engage with local residents to shape the vision of this space. The project scope will include:

  • Playground equipment

  • Sun shelter

  • Multi-use court

  • 3m wide asphalt walkways

  • Drinking fountain

  • Benches

  • Tree plantings

Visit engage.hamilton.ca to view proposed park details, and submit your feedback via the survey.

The timeline for park development is as follows:

  • Summer 2024 - Preliminary design

  • Fall 2024 - Public Engagement / consultation

  • Winter 2025 - Detailed Design

  • Summer 2025 - Construction

During the consultation period, residents will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the design concepts, multi-use court options and playground features. The feedback window is open until November 10.
