HSR expanding service to both myRide program and Route 18 in Waterdown

The HSR myRide program, as well as the Route 18 - Waterdown Mountaineer, will expand operating levels on September 1, 2024.

Starting September 1, 2024 HSR myRide service hours are increasing. Residents will be able to ride from 5am to 1am on weekdays plus Saturdays, as well as from 6am to midnight on Sundays. Further, the pick-up and drop-off times of HSR myRide trips are now guaranteed.

MyRide trips will have a 15-minute window, usually 5 minutes before to 10 minutes after a requested time. If booking by drop-off time, pick-up could be up to 15 minutes earlier. During busy periods MyRide will suggest the next scheduled time if your preferred one isn’t available. For guaranteed arrival times, choose "drop-off by request," which ensures that you’ll arrive up to 15 minutes early.

MyRide is also expanding its coverage in Waterdown. You can now schedule your trip to and from Hollybush Drive, Skinner Road, and N Waterdown Drive starting September 1. Download the MyRide app on iOS or Android to find your new closest stop. For more information about the HSR myRide system and its expanded coverage in Waterdown, please click here

In addition to myRide coverage, Waterdown also has dedicated service from Route 18 – Waterdown Mountaineer. Starting on September 1, service on Route 18 will expand to include Sunday / Holiday service, as well as late night service, at which point Route 18 will operate from the early morning to late evening, seven days a week. Further, service on Route 18 - Waterdown Mountaineer will move from Hollybush Drive to Clappison Avenue, in both directions. Route 18 connects Waterdown to Aldershot GO and Burlington Transit, with buses arriving at stops every 30 minutes during operating hours. There are no changes to how transfers are handled. Riders can continue to transfer between Route 18 and myRide under current HSR fare payment and transfer rules.
