Road work & temporary road closures on Concession 4W and inside Mountainview Heights

The City of Hamilton will be performing road culvert replacement work along Concession 4W for a series of days in late September and early October. As the work will be completed in stages, separate sections of Concession 4W will close on different days. Specifically, Concession 4W will close along the following schedule:

  • between Hwy 6 and Millgrove Side Rd. will close September 26 and 27;

  • between Middletown and Westover Rd. will close on September 28;

  • between Oflied Rd and Brock Rd will close on October 3;

  • between Millgrove Side Rd and Ofiled Rd will close on October 4

Access to local traffic will be permitted during these times. Please expect delays through these areas. The work is weather dependent and subject to change. For questions, please contact laura.tuin@hamilton.ca

Mountainview Heights - Streets West and East of Burke Street:

On behalf of the City of Hamilton, a contractor will begin surface asphalt work west of Burke Street on September 25, lasting for 2 to 3 days. Work on the east of Burke Street will begin on September 27 and last for 4 to 5 days. The contractor will start paving at the intersection of Mountain Height Place and Great Falls Boulevard and then proceed to Westfield Crescent and Agro Street the following day. In the subsequent week, the contractor will commence paving on Frontier Trail, Edworthy Gardens, Sealey Avenue, Zimmerman Gardens, and Elstone Pl. They will then continue paving on Granite Ridge Trail, Ebenezer Dr and Great Falls Boulevard in the following days.

All work is weather dependent. While paving is underway, temporary on-street parking restrictions are necessary to complete the work. During this, no vehicles are to be parked on the streets from 7:00am – 5:30pm for the duration of the work. Access driveways will be restricted at times. Please note, all driveways will be accessible by the end of each day. Effected residents have already been contacted in writing.  An inspector will be on site during the work.
