Stormwater facility maintenance at 120 Dundas St E (Pond 90)

Hamilton Water will be conducting maintenance work at the Stormwater Facility located behind the RioCan Power Centre at 120 Dundas St. E (Pond 90), beginning Monday, December 2nd. The work is expected to last three weeks, weather permitting, and aims to address safety and accessibility concerns for this heavily used community space.

During week one, the washed-out access road around the pond will be repaired to maintain community use of the facility and address potential health and safety concerns. Access to the pond will be fully blocked during this time, and residents will be directed to marked detour routes.

During weeks two and three, repairs will focus on the pond inlet. While half of the pond will be cordoned off, the community can still access the open portion and connect to the Bruce Trail. This strategic closure maintains access for passive use while minimizing disruption.

The City of Hamilton is committed to enhancing the facility for the community’s enjoyment and appreciates residents’ patience while the maintenance work is taking place. Questions or concerns, please feel free to contact cohwater@hamilton.ca or the Project Manager, Hector Quintero, at hector.quintero@hamilton.ca.
